In 2008 I had a revelation. I was standing in the kitchen of our flat in London and my wise and stoic partner at the time Claudia Solti said to me..”I think you’d make a wonderful teacher”..It changed my life forever. Cut to 3 years later, at a high powered dinner party in Los Angeles, at the home of Juliette Hohnen who had introduced me to so many people and exploded my teaching career in 2011, sat amongst some fairly big names in the film and music industry I was asked to quote something that was profoundly important to me. Without hesitating I said..”Those who can, teach”

Why do I teach ?

1. I love to help adults fulfill their long talked about ambitions to learn an instrument or a discipline.

2. I want to give kids a musical education that will serve them well in their life as they grow up and will allow them to have the same gifts I was given by my parents as a result of the education I had when I was young.

3. I wanted to have a career that was fun and to show people young and old the joy and emotional fulfillment that music can bring to your life, which in turn has brought me huge mental and emotional rewards.
